Make a hands-on difference in your community

Volunteers are an important part of the Whittier First Day community. Whether you are serving a meal, organizing donations, helping at one of our shelter sites, or volunteering as part of a group, your time and compassion help create a welcoming environment for the individuals and families we serve.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups throughout the year. Opportunities may include preparing and serving meals, organizing hygiene or donation drives, assisting with special events, beautification projects, assembling care kits, and supporting activities for clients at our shelter locations.

Every act of service helps carry Ted’s vision forward — building pathways to stability, restoring dignity, and strengthening our community through compassion and care.
